The "Lieu dit Le Recoux" is located in the heart of the Dordogne, one of the most visited tourist areas in the southwest of France. The municipality of Mouzens, of which Le Recoux belongs, is located in the valley of the Dordogne River. Le Recoux is situated on the hillside that surrounds the river valley. Old towns, villages and lots of castles - not for nothing has the area the nickname "Pays des Milles Chateaux" - determine the face of the historic landscape.
Le Recoux is part of the municipality of Mouzens (about 230 inhabitants) and is about 2 km away from the so-called Bourg Mouzens.
Major cities such as Perigueux and Bergerac with numerous shopping facilities are around 40 to 50 km. In the area there are more than enough shopping facilities in Siorac and St. Cyprien (3 km) and Le Bugue (10 km). The famous historic city of Sarlat is 30 km away.
